The Church of Save-K’nor holds three estates near Aleath. These are held by the Ibarti (high deacon) of the Aleathian temple on behalf of the Deor Ishar (primate) in Cherafir, who holds them from the king of Kanday. They are administered directly by the Ibarti of Maryael monastery.

Maryael is a famous center of learning and some wealthy Aleathians send their children there for education. Maryael’s library is extensive and contains rare and valuable manuscripts. Although Maryael was burned during the Theocracy, little of real value was destroyed because most of its artifacts had been hidden and were later recovered.

The church in Kanday is wealthier than other kingdoms thanks to the generous patronage of King Andasin.

Note: CREATE this as the centrepiece and prime example of why Kandáy is a Kingdom above the rest. Not only for the library, but a good sense of crossing Information, Knowledge, etc., with magic combined with religion to create a wealthy and culturally focused future.
